Trevor's Story
1949 -
Trevor Smith represented Australia in men’s hockey at two Olympics. At his first Games in 1976, Smith was a member of the team that won a silver medal, Australia’s best result at the Games. Australia did not compete in hockey at Moscow in 1980 because of the political boycott. He returned to the Olympics in Los Angeles in 1984, where the team placed fourth, losing the bronze medal final 3-2 to Great Britain. Smith is an inductee of the South Australian Institute of Sport Hall of Fame.
