Swimming Men's 100m Backstroke
Queenslander Tom Boast was Australia’s first world-rated male backstroker. He won his heat of the 100 metres backstroke at Amsterdam 1928, but just missed contesting the final after being eliminated in the semi-finals. He was also a national champion surf lifesaver.
