Samuel's Story
Sam Conrad was destined to become an Olympic rower. Standing at 6’8”, Conrad is a third generation Olympian. His grandfather, Maurice Grace, finished fourth in the men’s pair at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. His father, Tim Conrad, rowed in the men’s eight at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal and now coaches his son. Conrad spent the 2007 domestic season rowing with James Tomkins before they both gained selection in the 2008 Australian Olympic Team men’s eight.
