Ross's Story
In 2003 Ross Smith won a silver medal in men’s doubles at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival. Later that year he won his first national title in the U-19 men’s doubles. Smith and partner Glenn Warfe competed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games before they were chosen in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Team, bowing out in their opening match.
In the build up to the London Games, Smith and Warfe claimed their third Oceania Championship before returning to Olympic competition in London. The pair featured in a strong group and failed to win any of their three matches against China, Chinese Taipei and Germany.
