Ramone's Story
Ramone Cooper made his Olympic debut at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, competing in moguls. His eventual placing of 27th in a strong field that saw teammate Dale Begg-Smith win silver, was a credit to his determination as a matter of days before the Games begun his participation looked unlikely. Just weeks before the Vancouver Games, Cooper injured his knee training for the 2010 World Cup in Deer Valley. Intense therapy and strong-will on Cooper's part, meant that he passed the fitness test that allowed him to compete. Cooper first entered the international circuit in 2003, and recorded his best World Cup placing, ninth, at Sumo in Finland in December 2009.
