Rachel's Story
1971 -
Tennis ace Rachel McQuillan teamed with Nicole Bradtke (nee Provis) to win a bronze medal in women’s doubles at Barcelona in 1992. The pair enjoyed strong wins against teams from Mexico, Brazil and Czechoslovakia before falling to a strong Spanish duo in the semi-final. McQuillan participated in two Olympics for Australia, in 1992 and 1996, as both a singles and doubles player. Born in New South Wales, she enjoyed a strong professional career, especially as a doubles player, and represented Australia in the Federation Cup.
