Peter's Story

Victorian kayaker Peter Foster teamed with Kelvin Graham to win a bronze medal for Australia in the men’s K2 1000m in Seoul. The pair entered in two events in Seoul, the K2 500m and K2 1000m. They found the pace of the 500m too hot to handle, finishing 10th. But in the 1000m event, their combination of power, endurance and experience proved invaluable. Having placed second in both the heat and semi-final of the event, Foster and Graham maintained their form in the final to win a well-deserved bronze medal.
