Peter's Story

1943 –

Peter Doak joined with David Dickson, John Ryan and Robert Windle to claim the bronze medal, behind the United States and Germany, in the inaugural staging of the men’s 4 x 100 metres freestyle relay at Tokyo 1964. The German team at Tokyo comprised representatives from West and East Germany. Doak also swam in the 4x200m relay team that finished fourth. At the 1962 Perth British Empire and Commonwealth Games, he won a gold medal in the 4x110 yards freestyle relay and finished fourth in the individual 110 yards freestyle.
