Paul's Story
Paul Murray competed in two Olympic Winter Games, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010, and was also a 10-time Australian champion in cross country skiing. 2005 was a breakthrough year with Paul scoring Australia's first ever cross country World Cup points in Reit im Winkl, Germany finishing 29th in the classic sprint. Two weeks later he went on to post the best result ever by an Australian at a Senior World Championships in Obersdorf, Germany finishing 31st also in the classic sprint. Murray retired from international cross country skiing in 2010.
Murray served on the AOC Athletes' Commission from 2010 - 2014, and held the role of Deputy Chair of the Commission from 2012 - 2014.
