Natalie's Story
Natalie Porter won a silver medal as a member of the Australian women’s basketball team in 2004. From Victoria, the forward was part of an impressive frontcourt for the Opals. The team was undefeated entering the final, having won all of its seven previous matches. However, in a re-match of the Sydney 2000 final, the Opals were beaten by the United States, the defending champion. It was the third consecutive medal at the Games for the Opals after winning bronze in 1996 and silver in 2000.
