1938 - 1981

Murray Garretty swam in the heat of the 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay at the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games. Although he did not swim in the final, the team consisting of John Devitt, Jon Henricks, Murray Rose and Kevin O'Halloran went on to win gold in a time of 8 minutes 23.6 seconds.
