Mitchell's Story
1963 -
Sailor Mitch Booth won medals at consecutive Olympics in the two-man Tornado event competing with different crew members. At Barcelona in 1992 he teamed with John Forbes to win a bronze medal. Four years later Booth and Forbes were no longer sailing together and entered into a spirited contest for Olympic selection in the Tornado class with their new partners. Booth finally won selection and went on to win a silver medal with Andrew Landenberger. Booth, born in Sydney, has since become a Dutch citizen. He competed at the Olympics for the Netherlands in 2004 and 2008.
