Michelle's Story

Michelle Brogan won two Olympic medals with the Australian women’s basketball team: bronze in 1996 and silver in 2000. In Atlanta, the team defeated Ukraine 66-56 in the bronze medal final to win Australia’s first medal in the sport. They went one better in Sydney, thrilling home fans by going undefeated in the tournament until the final, which they lost 76-54 to the United States. Brogan also enjoyed an excellent professional career, including a successful stint with the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury.
