Athletics Men's Marathon
Michael Shelley won a surprising silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in what was only his second marathon.
In 2011, Shelley finished 10th in the London marathon in and time of 2:11.38 and 11th in the Amsterdam marathon in a personal best 2:11.23.
The Queenslander made his Olympic debut in London and was Australia’s best performer in the men’s marathon, finishing in 16th place in a time of 2:14.10.
