Marilyn's Story
1943 –
Marilyn Wilson (Young) joined with Rosemary Lassig, Jan Andrew and the great Dawn Fraser to win the silver medal, behind the United States, in the inaugural staging of the women's 4 x 100 metres medley relay at Rome 1960. Gergaynia Beckett and Ilsa Konrads had swum in the heat and were replaced by Wilson and Fraser for the final. Wilson also swam in the 100 metres backstroke.
