Madii's Story
Mogul Skier Madii Himbury qualified for the finals at her Olympic debut in PyeongChang. Himbury progressed from the second qualification round to secure her spot in the first final, where her score of 68.19 saw the 24-year-old finish 20th overall.
Himbury’s breakthrough season came one year prior to PyeongChang. She qualified for her first full FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup tour where she contested 10 events in the space of two months. After qualifying for the World Cup finals in Calgary and Tazawako she ended the season with her World Championships debut at Sierra Nevada, Spain where she placed 20th.
The Sydney-sider started dancing when she was three years-old before turning her attention to gymnastics as an 8-year-old. She competed in gymnastics at a national level for 10 years but fully turned her attention to winter sports in 2007 when she joined the Perisher Sports Club.
Himbury made her World Cup debut at Deer Valley on her 21st Birthday in January 2015, where she placed 20th in the single moguls and 8th in the dual moguls.
