Luke's Story
Race walker Luke Adams is a three-time Olympian having competed at Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Adams was born in Tanzania where his parents worked as medical missionaries and first competed in international race walking in 1994, coming 24th in the 10km World Junior Championships.
At the Athens 2004 Games, he finished 16th in the 20km road walk, improving to sixth place in Beijing 2008, where he also placed 10th in the 50km event.
Adams went on to compete in the 50km walk at the London 2012 Games where he finished 26th as teammate Jarred Tallent won silver.
