Lily's Story
Lily Beaurepaire, joined her brother Frank, as a competitor at Antwerp 1920. She was the third Australian woman, after Fanny Durack and Mina Wylie, to compete at the Olympic Games. The sole female member of the Australian team, she competed in the preliminary rounds of the 100 metres and 300 metres freestyle events and the plain high diving.
She was the only woman, amongst 40 men, to contest two different sports at Antwerp and, as a result, became the first Australian woman to achieve this feat (http://corporate.olympics.com.au/olympian-search/team-trivia-stats).
