Lenny's Story

Born in Central Java, Indonesia, Lenny Permana started playing badminton when she was ten years of age. Permana became an Australian citizen in 2002 and that same year competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. She made her Olympic debut at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, competing in the women's singles. Permana faced Great Britain's Kelly Morgan in the round of 32, going down in two sets.
