Larrissa's Story
A specialist on the uneven bars, Queensland’s Larrissa Miller made her Olympic debut at the London 2012 Games. Miller finished 29th on the bars in London with a score of 14.025, her best result after also finishing 42nd on floor. She also took home 10th place in the teams event.
Before the Olympics, Miller made a strong World Championship debut in 2009 at the age of 16 where she made the final of the bars, eventually finishing 7th. She went on to compete at the 2010 and 2011 World Championships with her best results being 6th at both tournaments in the team event.
In 2016 Miller qualified for her second Games as Australia’s sole artistic representative after she beat Australia’s top gymnasts including London Olympian Emily Little and dual Olympian Lauren Mitchell at the 2016 Australian Championships.
Competing in the uneven bars and floor, Miller didn’t make it to the finals finishing 30th and 67th in each apparatus respectively.
