Keith's Story
Keith Ferguson was a late starter to the sport of shooting, starting in the sport at the age of 26. The Victorian however quickly became one of Australia’s leading skeet shooters, winning a number of state, national and Oceania medals.
At 32 years of age, Ferguson made his Olympic debut at the London Games, where he finished in 20th position in the men’s skeet event.
After competing at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, he won the men’s skeet Olympic quota for Australia after winning the 2015 Oceania Championship. He returned to Olympic competition in Rio where he shot a qualification score of 120 to miss out on a shoot-off for the semi-finals by a single shot as he finished 10th.
