Kate Jenner grew up playing hockey in her hometown of Tamworth, showcasing immense talent she quickly moved up the national ranks.
After making her Olympic debut at the London 2012 Games, Kate went on to help the Australian team claim gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The defender stepped away from the sport in 2015, however, in 2018 was enticed back to the game to play for the NSW Arrows in the AHL.
She was quickly picked up by the NSW Institute of Sport, and shortly after was selected for the national development squad.
Kate travelled with the Hockeyroos to USA and Argentina in the 2019 FIH Pro League and was subsequently named in the squad for the official Tokyo Olympics test event where the team claimed bronze.
She would complete her impressive return to the sport, becoming a two-time Olympian when she competed at the Tokyo 2020 games. Australia would start the tournament in impressive fashion, remaining undefeated after their opening 5 games, and conceding just one goal. This would set up a quarter-final tie against India for progression and hopes of medal contention, Australia would fall just short of this, however, losing the tense fixture 1-0. Earning a 5th placed finish overall at the games.
