Julia's Story

1979 -

West Australian Julia Greville won a bronze medal as a member of the women’s 4x200m freestyle relay team in Atlanta. Greville was only 17 years old in Atlanta, but she proved more than capable of holding her own with the best swimmers in the world. She swam in both the heat and the final of the relay. As well, Greville reached the final of two other events: the 200m freestyle, placing seventh, and the 4x100m freestyle final, placing sixth. The other members of the relay team were Julia Greville, Emma Johnson, Lise Mackie, Susie O’Neill and Nicole Livingstone.
