At the age of 28, Josh Fleming competed at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games in mountain bike. The Sydney-based rider finished the race in 2.29:54 to place 31st of 50 competitors. Fleming was a member of the Australian team from 1996 to 2004 and in that time competed in nine World Championships and also the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games.
