John's Story

1888 – 1927 

John 'Jack' Ryrie, from the Sydney Rowing Club, rowed in the bow seat of the eight at Stockholm 1912. A fellow old boy of The King’s School, Robert Waley, was the coxswain. The pair also served in World War I with Ryrie enlisting in England.
