John's Story

1939 – 

The men’s hockey team won its first Olympic medal, a bronze behind India and Pakistan, at Tokyo 1964. John McBryde, from Queensland, was a member of the team to Rome 1960 and was the captain at Tokyo. He made his international debut in 1960.
