Jesse's Story
Queenslander Jesse Ross competed at his first Olympic Games in London in 2012, contesting the middleweight division where he went down to Abdelmalek Rahou in the round of 32. Jesse Ross claimed his first U/19 Australian title in 2008 fighting in the U/69kg division which won him selection into the 2008 Youth Commonwealth Games in Pune. He went on to compete at the World Youth Championships in Guadalajara in the same year.
Ross shifted up to the U/75kg division where he fought and won the Australian and Oceania titles to claim selection for the London 2012 Olympics. He lost his opening fight 13-11 to Algerian Abdelmalek Rahou.
