Jeff Hunt burst on to the marathon scene in 2010 when he ran the fastest debut marathon by an Australian, finishing third in Japan in 2:11.00. He represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi 2010 placing 13th and at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu where he was forced to withdraw after 30km.
At the age of 30, Hunt made his Olympic debut in London where he finished 63rd in a time of 2:22.59.
