Jarrod's Story
Jarrod Fletcher and his two brothers trained under their father at a home gym. Fletcher narrowly missed selection for the 2004 Athens Olympics which made him train harder for Beijing. He won gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, 2007 and 2008 Oceania Championships and 2008 Grand Prix to claim an Olympic spot in Beijing. Fletcher competed in the middleweight division with the nine-time national champion unfortunately losing his opening bout. Fletcher turned to professional boxing after the Olympics in November 2008.
