Rowing Women's Eight (W8+)
Hailing from Western Australia, Jacqueline Swick began rowing at the age of 16 in 2019. After competing for her high school, Jacqueline joined the Swan River Rowing Club.
Although selected to make her junior debut for Western Australia at the 2020 Interstate Regatta, the opportunity was delayed due to the pandemic. In 2021, Jacqueline returned, rowing the Western Australia youth eight squad to victory.
A year later, Jacqueline was selected for the senior Western Australian eight, competing for the Queen's Cup at the Interstate Regatta.
In 2022, Jacqueline was selected in the Australia squad for the international season. In her debut tournament, the 2022 World Rowing Cup II, Jacqueline rowed for the women's eight and claimed a bronze.
Following this, just under a month later at the World Rowing Cup III in Switzerland, Jacqueline claimed her first international gold medal.
At Jacqueline's first World Rowing Championships in 2022, the Australian women's eight finished the tournament in fifth place.
With 2022 being a breakout year for Jacqueline, the Perth-local also won athlete of the year at the Western Australian Institute of Sport.
Continuing in 2023, Jacqueline represented Australia again, rowing in the women's eight at the World Rowing Cup II and III, finishing with a gold in Italy and a bronze in Switzerland.
At the 2023 World Rowing Championships, Jacqueline rowed in the women's eight, making it out of the repechage but eventually finished in third behind Romania and the USA.
In 2024 Jacqueline received a tier one scholarship into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame program.
Jacqueline then went on to make her Olympic debut in Paris. Rowing in the women's eight, the crew narrowly missed out on the bronze medal by one second, finishing fourth overall.
