Ibrahim's Story
Victorian Ibrahim Balla won his first Australian junior title at the age of 11 in 2001, before going back to back in 2002 and then winning the Australian U/16 title at the age of 14 in 2004. He won his first senior, and fifth overall, Australian title in 2012 as he qualified for the Oceania Championships where he secured his spot as Australia's U/56kg bantamweight representative at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Balla faced Aboubakr Seddik Lbida in the round of 32, beating the Moroccan on a count back. In the second round, the round of 16, Balla went down to Bulgarian Detelin Dalakliev 14-10.
