Hayley's Story
Hayley Chapman contested the 25m pistol event at the London 2012 Olympic Games. She competed alongside her father, coach and hero, David. The pair made history as the only father-daughter combination to have competed in the same Olympic Games for Australia. At the age of 15 she competed at her first national championships where she finished third in the air pistol. The South Australian continued to compete at junior events and set her sights on the 2016 Olympic Games. However she realised her dream in 2012, making her Olympic debut at the London Games at the age of 20. She finished 34th.
