Haley McGregor made her Olympic debut at the Athens 2004 Games, competing in the 10,000m where she finished 25th in a time of 33:35:27. As well as a successful career in athletics, McGregor was also a promising kayaker. From 1993 to 1995 she held a kayak scholarship a the Victorian Institute of Sport and was the Victorian champion in the K1 and K2 class over 200m, 500m and 1000m during this time.
