Graham's Story

1954 –

At Munich 1972, Graham Windeatt finished second behind the world record-breaking Mike Burton, of the United States, in the 1500m freestyle. He reached the finals in the 400m freestyle (fourth behind the winning Brad Cooper of Australia, the 400m individual medley (seventh) and as a member of the 4x200m freestyle relay team (fifth). At Montreal 1976, he was eliminated in the heats of the 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle and the 4x200m freestyle relay. At his only Commonwealth Games at Edinburgh 1970, he won the 1500m freestyle.
