Graham's Story
Born in Sydney on August 3, 1963, striker Graham Arnold played his first A international game for Australia against Chinese Taipei in the 1986 World Cup qualifiers, where he scored his first goal as a Socceroo.
He went on to play in the 1986, 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups and at the Seoul 1988 Olympics where Australia finished seventh.
After a successful stint overseas, Arnold returned to Australia in 1998 to begin his coaching career with National League Team, the Northern Spirit after playing 88 matches for Australia and scoring 33 goals.
In 2000, he worked as assistant coach of the Socceroos, supporting them through their 2006 FIFA World Cup campaign and in 2010 assumed the role of manager at A-League club Central Coast Mariners before being appointed to manager of Sydney FC in 2014.
In 2018, Arnold made his return to the men's national team coaching the Socceroos and the men's u-23 national team, the Olyroos.
