Glenn's Story

Glenn Warfe started playing badminton at the age of six. He won two gold medals and one silver medal at the 2003 Australian Youth Olympic Festival. In 2005 he began training with doubles partner, Ross Smith. The duo won the Oceania Championships in 2008 to bolster their chances of Beijing Team selection. They made their Olympic debuts together at the 2008 Olympic Games, bowing out in their opening match.

In the build up to the London Games Warfe and Smith claimed their third Oceania Championship before returning to Olympic competition in London. The pair featured in a strong group and failed to win any of their three matches against China, Chinese Taipei and Germany.

Warfe narrowly missed selection in the mixed doubles for the London Games with fellow 2012 Olympian Leanne Choo.
