Eoin's Story
Having finished on the Oceania Championships podium in both 2013 and 2014, Eoin Coughlan won his first continental title in 2015. He went on to make his World Championship debut later that year before defending his Oceania crown in 2016 to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Dealt an exceptionally difficult draw, Coughlan lost his opening -81kg fight to South Korea’s Seungsu Lee by ippon.
