Emma's Story
At just 20 years of age, Emma Jackson made her Olympic debut competing as one of three Australian women in the triathlon at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Hailing from Queensland, Jackson could not match the speed of her opponents in the swim leg, however gained some ground in the run to finish eighth overall. A product of the Australian Youth Olympic Festival, Jackson competed at the event in 2009. She won gold with her teammates Holly Aitken and Ashleigh Gentle in the relay challenge and finished seventh in the individual event.
