HAVE A GO AT OLYMPIC SPORTS
Edwin's Story
Edwin Carr Jnr, the son of 1924 Olympian ‘Slip’ Carr, was an athlete like his father.
He had won gold medals, in the 440 yards and the 4 x 440 yards relay, at the 1950 British Empire and Commonwealth Games at Auckland.
At Helsinki, Carr made it through to the quarter-finals of the 200 metres and was eliminated in the heats of the 400 metres and the 4 x 100 metres and 4 x 400 metres relays.
