David Zalcberg is a dual Olympian with a medicine degree. Zalcberg played in France and Sweden before being selected for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games where he placed 17th in the men’s doubles. Zalcberg was told he would never play again after suffering a prolapsed disc followed by a bike accident that injured his playing arm in 2006. He proved everybody wrong and competed in the singles and doubles in Beijing in 2008, placing ninth in doubles.
