Danny's Story

Danny Morseu, originally from Thursday Island in the Torres Strait, honed his basketball skills with the powerful St Kilda Saints in the embryonic National Basketball League (NBL). He was played at Moscow 1980 and Los Angeles 1984. His nephew is fellow Olympian Patty Mills.
Morseu is a member of the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame through being inducted into the NBL Hall of Fame in 2002, the first indigenous player to receive the honour. He is also a member of the Aboriginal and Islander Sports Hall of Fame.
