Daniel's Story
1974 -
Daniel Sproule won two bronze medals with the Australian men’s hockey team at successive Olympics, in 1996 and 2000. The talented midfielder established himself as a key contributor for the Kookaburras during his international career, where his speed, defence and passing ability made him a valuable asset. The team defeated Germany 3-2 in the Atlanta bronze medal final and Pakistan 6-3 for the bronze in Sydney. As well as his Olympic medals, Sproule’s other successes with the Kookaburras include a 1998 Commonwealth Games gold medal and 1999 Champions Trophy.
