Chloe's Story

Chloe Dalton made her Australian rugby sevens debut at the 2014 Dubai Women's Sevens, where the Australian side finished as runner-ups to New Zealand. Dalton was a talented basketball player and a member of the Sydney University Flames, before making the switch to rugby in early 2014.

A year later, Chloe was a member of the Australian squad that won the 2015/2016 World Rugby Women's Seven Series and in 2016 Chloe was selected for her debut Olympic Games in Rio. In Rio, the Australia team defeated New Zealand in the final to win the inaugural rugby sevens Olympic gold medal.

Following her Olympic debut, Chloe chose to switch to the AFLW in 2018 signing with Carlton and making her debut in the 2019 season. She was subsequently named runner up in the Carlton Best and Fairest Awards for the 2020 AFLW season.

While Chloe was again chosen for Carlton's midfield for the 2021 AFLW season, she made the decision to return to Rugby Australia in an attempt to prepare for her second Olympic campaign, but Dalton suffered a fractured jaw bone weeks out from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and was no longer available for selection.

Off the field, Chloe has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from Sydney University and currently works as a physiotherapist.
