Casey's Story
West Australian Casey Dellacqua was an established doubles player before bursting into form and reaching a career high singles ranking of 55 in 2008. Dellacqua reached the fourth round of the Australian Open in 2008 and made her Olympic debut later that year in Beijing. Dellacqua was knocked out in the second round of the singles competition and the first round of doubles with partner, Alicia Molik.
She returned to Olympic competition in 2012 where she lined up with partner Samantha Stosur in the women’s doubles. The pair struggled against the eighth seeded Spanish duo of Maria Martinez Sanchez and Naria Llagostera Vives who knocked them out of the tournament in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.
