Cameron's Story

Andora cyclist, Cameron Meyer, started cycling at the age of 13 and competed in his first World Junior Track Championships in 2005 where he won gold.

He then went on to win silver at the 2005 Australian Youth Olympic Festival in the Individual Pursuit and Points Race.

Meyer claimed triple gold at the 2006 World Junior Championships then, in 2007, won the Tour of Tasmania and Tour of Japan.

The versatile cyclist then made his Olympic debut at Beijing 2008 in the points race, where he finished fourth.

Meyer then won two gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and was the winner of the 2011 Tour Down Under, the second youngest winner of the event since Michael Rogers won at the age of 22.

After winning a Madison world title in 2011 and Points Race in 2012, Meyer shifted his focus to Road and became the only Australian male to have won all three elite national titles - Criterium (2013), Time Trial (2010, 2011) and Road Race (2020).

In 2018, he backed up his Commonwealth Games success with another gold medal in the Road Time Trial.
