Belinda's Story
At the age of 27, Belinda Barnes (Wright) made her Olympic debut as part of the Australian softball team at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Barnes first began playing softball when she was just seven in primary school and then progressed to compete at the Junior World Championships in 1999 as part of the Under 19 side. Making her senior debut two years later, Barnes was selected in the 2006 World Championship team which won bronze. At the Beijing Games, Barnes and the team won bronze.
