Angela's Story
1976 -
Angela Kennedy won a silver medal as part of the women’s 4x100m medley relay team in Atlanta. As well as the relay, Kennedy competed in the women’s 100m butterfly, where she failed to reach the final. The Queenslander swam the butterfly leg in the qualifying heat of the relay to ensure Australia’s safe passage to the final. For the final, Kennedy was replaced by Susie O’Neill. During her fine career Kennedy also won a bronze medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay at the 1998 world championships in Perth and three world short course championships medals.
