Amber's Story
Victorian fencer Amber Parkinson made her Olympic debut in Beijing 2008, where she finished 19th in the individual epee. Parkinson started fencing at age 11 and competed at her first nationals at the age of 14. She switched from foil and sabre to epee in 2000 and claimed the national epee title three times (2001, 2006, 2007) before being selected for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Team.
