Alexandra's Story
Lexie Feeney contested the women’s individual archery competition at Beijing 2008. Feeney finished 48th out of 64 competitors in her first Olympic competition. Growing up in Sydney, NSW, she was inspired by Simon Fairweather’s gold medal at the Sydney 2000 Games and took up archery. She moved to Canberra to train at the Australian Institute of Sport. She competed at both the 2003 and 2005 Australian Youth Olympic Festivals, winning silver in 2005.
