Adam Federici was an outstanding goalkeeper for Australia during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Federici had been settled in England playing for Reading FC before being called in to make his U/23 debut at the 2008 Beijing Games. His strong Olympic campaign gave Federici great confidence and he proved himself to be a future Socceroos keeper. The team finished 11th in Beijing.
